sigh...not yet, but my magenta stripe has been going up to the top of the water line for little forays all day, cross your fingers!!

Mine have been mating again....a lot. And she keeps going to the top above the water line, but no eggs. I wonder if she just can't find the right spot...

most likely yes as long as they don't a. get too dried out b. get too wet. I plan on leaving mine where they are laid until just before hatching (if i ever get a clutch, sigh), then moving them into a grow-out tank.
Alot of times the clutches are laid on the underside of the lights because that is where there is available space and they get fried. They are also easy prey for fish when they are first hatched.

I would have left them but the small one fell into the water and the big one was all dried out. Plus, I didn't know how long it had been there and I didn't want it to hatch when I wasn't looking and get eaten.
