My First Betta!

Quite a handsome guy! I think that's a "crowntail" betta.

Good job on the Petco rescue; those little cups they keep bettas in drive me nuts.

Someones been watching Kill Bill :). It's on Spiketv right now.

Go to a shop that sells small terracotta pots like Micheals or Lowes, put the bamboo in the pot and put some rocks to keep it down.

I wouldn't think it's fin rot, but the natural made medication you can use is Melafix to heal fin rot and mend fins.

Ahh, Hattori Hanzo. I know that name very well. The fish could actually be named after a famous samurai named Hattori Hanzo;also known as Hattori Masanari. He was the head of the clan from the Iga region of Japan. Hanzō served Tokugawa Ieyasu loyally and well. He is commonly depicted as Ninja in manga and novel fiction. Hanzō was born a vassal of the Matsudaira (later Tokugawa) clan; he would later earn the nickname Oni-Hanzō (Devil Hanzo) because of the ferocity he displayed in battle.

Or

In video games these days and the arcade, the fish may be named after a fighting game character in a series called Samurai Spirits. He is also in different games as well.

He's in the TV show kill bill too.

It's not finrot, probably. The tips is probably just genetics. My ole dead betta had clear tips.

So this is how I made the Bamboo NOT float...Haha, hope this works.
