I have a 55 gallon, massive sump (probably close to 45 gallons).

As for lights, I have Daylight 6,700k/10,000k: 2 x 65 watt
# Actinic 420nm/460nm: 2 x 65 watt, which are power compacts

Which corals can I start thinking about getting? Is there a guide to keeping corals somewhere?

Thanks.

Hi! The pocketexpert guide to invertebrates is very helpful for finding coral requirements.

As for what you can look into now, mushrooms will do well in your tank, as well as most leathers. Zoanthids should do alright as well. But definitely check out the book, it's well worth the price!

with power compacts it's better to stay on the LPS- torch corals, frogspawn, brains etc. side and softies especially zoas, mushrooms, ricordia..as for the 6500k..it is better to stay in the 10000k spectrum with salty tanks I believe

Actually 6500k will give you the best growth out of any available freq. of lighting in this hobby. Of course, the corals might brown out a bit, but your actinic might offset that as well.
