My First DIY Hood Lights

Very easy to set up and I like the results. Some T5 'Slims' I found at the home Center in Saku near my home.

I'm going to switch out the red for an another aquatic green they have at the shop. I bought the one red one only to see what it would look like over the tank.

I have an order made 120cm aquarium that will be replacing the 60cm one in the pic sometime next year.

That is the tank in bubble wrap. ( The picture was taken before the DIY lights and new layout. )

that is a very clean nice hood diy !

Hmmm. I just ran into Iamvictor2k's massive light hood thread and now I am wondering if this was overkill? i can always turn them off at the light though.

But I also have a 2.1 liter Co2 Bombe and fertz that I dose. So I think I should be okay.

im still trying to get the stuff i need for my co2 setup. i have the bottle and i am waiting on rexgregg to send the rest. i had to cut way way way back on the light(witch i new i would) till i get the co2 pressurized system. the plants are absolutely loving the light. i have had double the growth of my plants in the 3 weeks i have had the light on. of cores i have had quadrupole the algae. i did a 2 day black out and my algae eaters destroyed the remainder. keep it up. nice work i love the look. o and dont show any exposed wires or you will get eaten alive. just for your information. lol
