my first frog paludarium or terrarium.

what all would i need exactly? i can probably get my dad to get it tomorrow and i give him that money, but a 20 gallon turned over would be better right now since id have the money to get the other stuff the frogs need.

IMO, you should turn the 20 and then save your money for an upgrade later. When you do upgrade, depending on how you choose to do so, you'll need glass, silicone, screen/mesh and painters tape. Then if you are going fancy, plywood, sealant, hindges, latches, decorative trim, spray foam, etc. There is a lot of different ways to do a custom tank and even more ways to do one that doesn't have to be filled with water.

Here is a very nice one:

I didn't read through every single step so I don't know if he covers it, but if not, you'll want to seal the tank with some sort of water proofing material to prevent mold and rotting of the wood.

would the tank being as is really be bad? id like to have like a water area in the tank and i cant do that with it sideways. im thinking in the future i will buy another 20 gallon long and stack is on top of the other one.

Honestly, it's not that bad. The frogs aren't huge so it's really not a huge deal. Just provide them with ample climbing space and it would be fine. As for stacking the two tanks, how would you plan on getting into the tank? Have you looked into terrarium toppers? They can be a great way to add space to an enclosure but still being able to reach everything inside. I suppose you could do the same with another aquarium but air flow would be limited at best and all the upper level structures would have to be free standing away from the glass of the top tank.

whats an aquarium topper? and wouldnt the plants add oxygen? i bought another plant today it started with a c and it had whide leaves and it had yellow and red leaves. ill go get the actual name in a minute.
