i just got my first invert a fiddler crab unfortunately he was brutally attacked by my mudskippers and got his big arm riped off. now he is safe but will he survive even though he lost his arm.

yes, he will molt and the arm will come back. Most crabs are brackish though so I would recommend ddoing a bit of research on what you have.
Skippers are brackish as well.. african skippers + crabs = trouble.. if you want to keep them together, you'll have better luck with indian dwarf skips IME.
