nice. i would seperate the plants into individual stems where possible and add some rocks or driftwood.

give them room to grow, give their roots space, keep the bottom leaves from falling off as fast, make them look like more

Correct. Only separate the stem plants and replant the individual stems if you'd prefer. Personally, I like to bunch them together too (3-5 stems per bunch) and space the bunches a couple of inches apart. You normally don't see problems unless you plant too many individual stems together. (3-5 is fine.)
Not sure what the grass looking plant is but it looks like Mondo Grass which isn't a true aquatic plant and will eventually die. If you can positively ID it as Mondo Grass, you might want to remove it and get an aquatic species to replace it.

I could be a form of Sagittaria . Which is aquatic and matches what your LFS told you. The one on the left of the tank looks like it could be ludwigia or bacopa can't tell without a closer pic. The one on the right side is Egeria Densa. The one to the left and behind it is probably wisteria. I would add more plants, and some driftwood. You fish with enjoy the new decore. Great start, can't wait to see your tank in a few months.

wisteria and ludwigia are two i did purchase, im going to add one or two pieces of driftwood but this tank is a slow work in progress as i just got my first house last week so money is a concern now and my wife is a stay at home mom now due to the economy and im slowly working on my plywood 300g

video doesnt work...
