My first terrarium

I was driving with my boyfriend and we saw a box turtle on the side of the road. We DID NOT take it from the wild. Instead we decided to use the 40gal terrarium we have I'm storage to set up a habitat :)

I plan on doing lots of research and the turtle will not be purchased until everything else is establishes.

That's what the bf is pulling for, its why he bought the terrarium in the first place, so that just might happen. I personally think they are creepy. Can you "play" with them?

his name is Blaze. He's a leatherback and i got him from a breeder. theyre more of an animal that you can hold and pet and put them on your shoulder and let them stay there while you do stuff.

A 40 gal is WAY too small for a Box Turtle. They belong in outdoor pens for several very good reasons.

My dog used to track them down and catch them, and then play catch with herself. She loved it! Not so sure about the turtles......
 
Beardies are cool, tons of personality. - N

If I could offer any advice though study up on there diet/supliments etc
