I used to have anoles, they were MY first ever pet... I thought it was cool when they would flash their red thing. I would catch them in the yard and put them in the terrarium. You can't hold them at all though, and they will pinch the crap out of your finger. But they are nothing compared to a bearded dragon.

Bally, I would get a dragon. I promise you that you will really like it. I really like my bearded dragon, he likes to hop up on my shoulder when I'm on the computer. In the summer he spends his time in an outdoor pen I have for him. (it has a wooden frame with chicken wire on the sides) My beardy eats kale greens, strawberries, bananas, and super worms sometimes he eats crickets.ImageUploadedByMonsterAquariaNetwork1344315449.831377.jpg

Maybe you could get a Russian tortoise... My brother has one and everyone in the family loves him, he also shares a habitat with a Greek tortoise.

We decided on anoles for now. We have a 3 sided 55 that we are going to stand on its end so there's plenty of climbing space, and mesh in the missing side and make 2 mesh doors around the brace.

Anoles can be lots of fun if you know how to play with them! For example they, males in particular, make a great clip on earring. Get one to latch on and he'll hang there quite a while. It doesn't hurt and only the biggest ones manage to draw a tiny bit of blood. A real icebreaker at parties! And if you have the skill to catch live houseflies Anoles can amaze you with their acrobatics. Put a live fly into a 10 gal tank with an Anole in it. The Anole will immediately acquire the target, but they sit kind of still, letting the fly buzz around. Then suddenly the Anole will leap into the air, do a half flip and land upside down on the screen with the fly in its mouth. They hardly ever miss! Don't knock 'em cause they're common and cheap!

You just brought back memories of my anoles... We used to give them flys
