My First Water Change!

It was interesting to read this thread. I had forgotton how scared I was when I did my first water change only a few months ago. Pretty soon it will be totally natural and the fish will enjoy it and you feel like you are really accomplishing something. It humbles me every time I look at my tank and I pat myself on the back for being able to create a safe and happy place for the fish under my care. Watching them grow and thrive is amazing.
 
it is fun, the transition from total terror and uncertainty to relaxation. doing this will give you intimate knowledge of your fish's normal behaviors. you will rapidly learn to deal with crises as they happen and you will know better when to panic and when to sigh and grumble about how much of a pain your fish can be :)
