My fish and ich.

Okay, some quick tests show that the coarse or fine salt doesn't make much difference and I add about 2 grams/litre (2000ppm?) if my math is right - that's 400g for the 200litre tank. That would be about a pound for a 50g tank, so that would be a good check to see if the math is right :)

A few thoughts:
Take a good look at the fins, it could be a secondary infections from ich damage, or it could be ich damage itself. it takes a lot of ich to do more than slightly tatter a fish fins. Also the ich damage will be leftover after the ich is off of the fish, and will really not be highly noticeable while the ich is still on the fish growing. But secondary infections aren't uncommon with ich, and sensative fish.

Im leaning towards something secondary, its pretty bad especially for one day. How do i diagnose and treat something like that, should i even try until the ich is gone? Im afraid if it gets much worse they arent going to make it. It looks like the fins have been shredded. And if you do treat it can they just regrow part of the fin?
