My Fish are Dying Help Please!!

Don't give up, it is not too late to make the situation better for the remainder of your fish. As already suggested, please give us a little more information about your pond, such as the filtration (if any), plants (if any), number of fish, the amount of sun your pond gets, etc. We will try to help you out. I think few of us here can honestly claim to have never made any mistakes in fish-keeping.

I too suspect that it could be trying to cycle but there could be many other factors invovled. Algaecide is also not the best thing to do. It can be pretty hard on the fish. You need to tell us more details about your pond. The more we know the better picture we have to help you. Does it have a pump and filter? Plants? Is it in ground or above ground? Does it sit in full sun all day or some partial shade?

I just wanted to add, the red worms you saw were probably midge larva, totally harmless to your fish.
I agree. Most fish will eat them.

You will find that Algaefix has been discussed in MFK as well. Many people reported that the use of that product alone has killed their fish as well.

My ponds tend to get green water when there are no plants in them however upon introducing the Elodea densa in them, the green water subsides. It is possible high ammonia and phosphates are the culprits of green water.

Furthermore, algae killing chemicals may kill algae resulting in the decomposition state where oxygen gradually is depleted thus killing the fish. Water parameters are very important here.
