Help, fish won't eat!!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi All,
Haven't posted in a while. Things were good until yesterday. My 4 serpae tetras and 2 guppies stopped eating. Anyone know what would cause this? I'm using Tropical fish flakes. Same food they have been eating for months.
My levels are good, I think...

ph 0
Ammonia 0ppm
Nitrite 0 ppm
Nitrate 10 ppm

35 gal freshwater tank.

Getting worried! Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks, OKC Kitty

Hi

When my fish stop feeding, it usually means the water quality had gone down. I kept mostly cichlids, which gave me the chance to try a variety of measures to finally get the fish to eat.

Basically, if the water tested poorly for ammonia or nitrate, I would correct the problem and add some methylene blue to the water. In your case, you don't seem to have those problems. Was the temperature constant?

It could be some sort of parasite. You could try a wide-spectrum medication for parasite.
