I miss having chickens. My mom keeps some but I don't know the breeds. We have an in-joke though, that most of her chickens wear capris, but her rooster (he has the feathered feet) wears flares.

9 of my 15 are cochins (4 standard, 5 bantam) so they have feathered feet

Well first of all, they cant get very far off the ground. Second of all, they know where the food is. When it starts to get dark, they go into the coop themselves. I did have the black naked neck missing for a week, but that was after a fox attack, and she may have just been too scared to go back out in the open
