My Frontosa-Brichardi Tank Video

1 - I love the little pottery caves! - how did you make them?
2 - don't turn the camera sideways - ugh - I almost got sick! :)

Hi there !

Thanks for caring and for the kind reply...

1. The Clay pots are very commonly available here in India (poor people use them for cooking / drinking water etc) - I just bought them and made holes in them...

2. Oops ! Sorry for that - I really dont know why I did that but it really is very irritating.... :) Sorry again...

Thanks a lot !
Regards
Kush

Friends, any ideas on what my brown colored rocks are called ? I mean what type of Rocks are these ? The guy at the store told me that they were "Wood Rocks" but I could find anything about them on google...Kindly guide me...

Friends, Also wanted to know if adult bigger fronts (if I kepp just 2 or 3) will need open spaces in the tank ? Actually I feel that I've added a lot of caves and crevices in the tank and that there are no open spaces left on the bottom..lol... I guess fronts are loving it now - they swim gracefully everywhere and as soon as they get frightened, not even a single fish is visible - they just disappear in to their caves,,, I guess I now have far more caves than fish in the tank... is this ok or should I clearup a little and leave an open space for them... Kindly guide me... Which will be better ?

you could have a few synos in there as they get a fair size and defend them selves well.

but get a bigger tank 1st or get smaller fish to replace the fronts.

The rock just looks like slate to me from the video, just a different colour to what you would class as "normal slate"

i use to have grey and green slate in my tank and what looked brown too.

could be this i guess.

Very nice,& BEAUTIFUL fish!!

your 'wood rocks' could be petrified wood-fossil wood. But I think it probably would have been a bit expensive. Were they pretty pricey for rocks?

unlikely that it's petrified wood than. Possibly just slate broken into interesting looking layers. You could always try searching out a geology or rock hound website/forum if you're really interested in the id of your rocks.
