My "Geo Blue Rams" I breed.

Wonderful!

Your price is very very nice. I remember reading some of your ram comments on another site and thought I really liked your approach. I am definately interested, so I'll probably email you through the addy on the url you posted. Our LFS can't sex them worth a flip and sold me a male which promptly laid eggs a few days later... She really does look like a male - only clue is that she has tiny blue flecks in her black patch.
Anyway, I have a planted tank and am gradually switching to all rams. They are the coolest little fish I have ever seen!
What is your pH and kH? Do you use peat in the filter? Just checking to see how close our water perimeters are.
I look forward to finding out all I can about these fish!

Our ph straight out of tap is around 8. After one night of bubbling its about 7.8 It averages from 6 - 7.5 in my tanks depending on how often i do my water changes . They are hardy . You wont have a problem with whatever ph you decide to go with unless you go crazy extreem like 8.5 - 9 or something. The total desolved solids is around 300 micro semins . You do not need to worry about hardness with my rams . Soft or hard . Pick one . Again , just dont get extreem .

No peat . Just straight tap.

Hi there . My rams are not ready at the moment .They look like they will be ready at about the end of FEb. or the beggining of March . When they are finally ready i will try to remember to come back here and post some pics . You guys can then decide if you want them or not . Thanks, Rashidi

I dont know if they like sand or not . But i dont see why that would be a problem . Its not something that i would do as i think the small brown looking natural looking gravel looks best with palnts and rams.

Let us know

When you are ready to ship the little guys let us know!
Mine are spawning again tonight - the last batch of eggs fungased (sp), I don't think he actually fertilized them. As a couple they seem alot more organized this time. Windu, when do you collect the hatch - when they are wigglers or as eggs? Just curious. I think I am going to watch them take care of business this time, I'll leave a lamp on during the night - I heard this helps them stay on target. If the eggs are not fertile I'll know soon enough that the male I was sold is infertile. Does anyone know if this will change as the hormones kick in? I was told this batch from the LST was Florida bred, not Asian.

I steal the eggs right after they are laid. Sometimes i will let the parents raise them but not often . Its a more controlled situation if i do it.
