Ok, cool, thanks for the help. I figured you wouldnt want to make that trip, but you never know. I'll check that site out. It does look rather cheap. Although, I think I'm screwed with these stupid light fixtures I got.
Well Jaguar, due to your quote under your avatar, I suspect that you know what you are talking about. Are you talking about the larger one? How about my little one? What do you think its sex is (if its not too early) and is it just a normal GT with really strong coloring? And if you look up at previous posts in this thread I posted about the scales on my little terror. When GT are juv, is it difficult to see the individual scales and their individual dots? Does this become apparent as they and their scales become much larger??
this is my GT when it was 4"... this pick was take at christmas day...
THE STORY: i was in ECUADOR and i was hoping to catch a white saum in GUAYAS river (guayaquil)... so for christmas i went to the guayas river in a boat... i was going to a park that was at Samborondon city or something like that... but my brother play me a joke and Luckily he threw me out of the boat... i saw GT so i caught 3 and between those 3 one of them was a white saum!!! IS IT MALE OR FEMALE??? LOOK
next day:
last week ( now he is 4.5") NOTICE the fins are better and more colorful!:
here is another fish that i caught too... can someone tell me what he is?? and male or female??:
I think he looks more male.
I'm sure he looks more blue in real life I have seen the flash turn my fish green. If you have a digital turn your flash off and your tank lite on and see what you get. Just something form my own experience.
dont worry cyclon... thx anyway and another thing what can i put with this GT in a 75gallon??? because i want to get rid of the little fish because he is a tilapia! and get some females to make my male pair up, thats what i want cause i have a friend with some female white saums (wild)...
A) so what fish can i have with the pair in the 75g???
B) and what fish can i have with the white saum (just him) in the 75g???
I have a male convict wich is very mean. He is larger and has his spot picked out. He will come out and fight with the GT a bit. Also I have a female TX Cichlid in the tank. I thought the GT and TX were going to breed because they both had their venting tubes out but then he changed his mind and beat the hell out of her. The GT seems to pick on everything.
The GT was the smallest fish at one time. He is the yungest but he took controle of the tank and I had to get rid of my Dempseys and my Severon. I had all Juvy at one time and whats left is what could servive in the tank.
Everyone is getting a long now that there are a lot of caves and cover. I would start with a few male onvicts and keep the meanest one if you have the tank space.
