My guppies

After a quic search, it seems I missed a few colors. In addition to red, orange, green and blue, there is also black, blonde, king and purple.

Thank you both, RazzleFish and GuppyGirl for the info; you have been great!!! So, I can say proudly that I have a stock of Yellow Mosaic Cobra Guppies; right?

You can!! And be proud of it!! They are very beautiful. In my experience, they are a little more fragile than most guppies. They need super water quality. I don't know why this is, but my experience has been that they are less hardy than your typical overbred guppy. Most show quality guppies like your cobras are less hardy, they tend to have more selective breeding than other stock guppies. They are bred for beauty!! They are closer to the genetic ideal than the stock guppies. Enjoy them!!!!

Thanks, Maribeth! I will take care of their water quality. After many, many years I was missing the guppies; I started on this hobby with wild type guppies. Now I feel very happy and proud with these Cobras!

Thanks for your comment, Piranha! Yeah, I was very lucky to got them for free.

Hi Efors
They are very nice Guppies! These are a definite type of SS! I'm not quite sure if they are Cobras however?! Cobras are a selectively bred type of SnakeSkin. They were bred for "vertical" barring along the "peduncle"(tail base) area! I don't really see that in yours! What I do see is possible dark spot (shading) in the front half of the body thus a Metal Head, a HB (Half Black) "Platinum"( another form of iridescent yellow ) Mosaic! OR some type of Galaxy! Either way they look great! If they breed true then you have a nice strain that I haven't really seen before!!

Thanks, aviva!
NYCguppydude, I appreciate a lot your comments. I can tell you that they are a strain that do breed true. I got them from a breeder who has been keeping them for a few stable generations and he got them previously from another serious breeder. Thanks again!!!
