My guppy may have gill flukes.

K thnks. So 50% water changes how often? Would tap water be ok. to use? Its like filtered tap water, and then conditioner. How much conditioner do you suggest I put? Would salt help too, and if so, how much? And if I do get a test kit, how do I get nitrites and ammonia down, just water changes? ALso, the fishes gills are a little pink, and are pretty open, is that also probably form ammonia?

There should be instructions on the bottle for how much per gallon or several gallons. Water changes are your best bet for keeping ammonia and nitrites down. You probably have to do them daily or more than once per day in a tank that size.

ok

You mean daily until my fish gets better right? After that, maybe about once a week?? Or?? I mean, that's what thay say at all petstores, even one which is mainly fish, so they are true experts. 50% about once daily sound good? And if he doesn't get better, then what?

....

The fish I was talking about died over night, and his back very nice big fin was all gone.? What could he have died of?

nope.

just got water checked today, everything was alright, but just a tiny bit high nitrate/nitrite, dunno which 1 coz its a new tank.

if you still have one guppy and care about it take it back to your pet store and dont buy anything else until your tank is cycled.after its cycled you could maby get a betta, were your guppies males?
