Hi - I haven't read this entire thread so I'm probably not saying anything new, but just wanted to say that Big Al's is the BEST store! I live in the Toronto, Ontario area and I have 3 Big Al's stores each within 20-30 minutes drive from me. Our PetsMarts here are iffy -- dirty tanks and dead floaties... Any fish I've bought from PetsMart in the past haven't lasted long. But the tanks in Big Al's have always been spotless. They also quarantine their new arrivals and won't sell them right away, which I think is great.
I'm just cycling a new tank (been out of the Fish game for a couple of years..), so I am VERY CLOSE to being able to go to Big Al's again and starting with some new fish! (and yes, I'm excited...)
