my humble tylo snail tank

I feed mine Ken's veggie sticks (w/ calcium), frozen brine shrimp, raw carrots (they love carrots!), zucchini, and dried Indian Almond leaves.

i gotta try the frozen brine shrimps soon. carrots sounds like a good idea too but is it too hard for them?

it's great to have a chance to get to know more of these snails from you.

Hey Boxed,

Do your F1 juvenile Tylos eat any plants?

All of my adult wild-caught Tylos will eat plants except the Yellow Antennas, which appear to prefer meatier foods. (Now that I think about it, I don't believe that my Goldens have touched any plants either.)
I have noticed that the baby snails of all species do not seem to eat plants very much, if at all. Perhaps Tylos are plant-safe until they get to be 1.5 inches or so...

they dont really grow much, but they dont die. but it can be messy if you dont tie them up on something like stones. And even if you do, the snails will just make a mess out of it. i just dump the subwassertang into the breeding box for the baby snails

What plants have you had success with under Sulawesi conditions? I'm trying to find some things will live at a pH of 8.0 and temp of 82 F. Thanks very much!
