Ok, I have had this guy for a month now. Not a day goes by without him being Mr. Sociable. This guy "loves" my company. Even after he eats, he's just dying to see me!! I have never seen this guy turn colors or get angry. He has stayed the goldish/white color since day 1.

You all should have seen him after I gave him a frozen ball of krill. His little belly was HUGE! Let me tell ya, that made his day! I now feed him Semi-Soft Pellets w/ Krill and everyonce in a while, the frozen balls of blood worms or krill.

I am hoping to get a 55g tank soon after I move out. Is there such a thing as a 55g wide??? I would like to get ahold of a wide instead of a tall. Thanks!!

I hvae not seen any other sizes for a 55 other that the 48* 12. Why not get a 75...cost is not that much more and now you'll have the width that'll keep your Jack happy.

Perfecto makes a 56g that's 30" x 18" x 24".
I'd find that viewing area a bit too square; I really like the dimensions of my 65g - 36" x 18" x 24". 75s are nice too if you want to keep the 48" length - 48" x 18" x 21".
Sounds like a great fish, he's lucky to be getting a nice new tank! :D

Just think long term. I would get the 75 gallon. But then again, that leaves room for new fish

Hmmmm..... Yes, I think a 75g would pose a bit of a problem.... Maybe I should get it!!! :) I was thinking that one of those 70g corner units would be really nice.

No, seriously, should my JD really be this docile??? I have yet to see a mean streak in him/her. Maybe "it" is too young to tell yet. I do know that "it" has a redish orange lining on the dorsal; but, I don't know if that is common or not.

Thanks!
