My kids First Tank

Okay, before I switched out my light for a UltraSun, i was using the stock light that came with my hood. It had a neon effect, which can be seen in this photo. Bear in mind, this was a long(er) exposure and I was less than steady holding the camera. I am posting this not because it is a good photo, but becuase I think it looks cool. I am sure the plants and the fish prefer the new, more natural sunlight from the UltraSun.

I am worried that the Gold Barbs I purchased are very thin, and seem to have a rather odd shape. It seems like their stomachs are almost curved inwards, and they look nothing like the Cherry barbs I have. I did buy them from my favorite LFS, which I trust, but can someone set my mind at ease about their shapes? Here is a photo, but it's not great.

They eat and swim fine, are not shy, and otherwise are normal, at least from my limited experience. Are they just in an awkward lanky teenager stage?

Here is one of the Cory Cats. I dont actually know what kind of Cory Cat, maybe one of you can help me out. I wish my LFS had some of the prettier ones, as my wife thinks these are boring, and ugly. Although my sons like them, and they are very active and lively at times.

I love the tank, and you've got a great female Krib there! I'm not much help with diagnosing fish illnesses, but those barbs certainly don't look healthy to me.

I think u got urself a bronze cory. Don't know much about the barbs. Nice tank. The blur picture make me really dizzy.
