My little Dovii is growing up

gorgeous! i've been thinking about maybe getting a dovii once i'm in a house that can accomodate the tank size i'd need (my lil one bedroom postage stamp apartment is simply not big enough for anything over 100gal, :( and i've already got an oscar that'll move to a bigger tank soon, so i'd need at least two 100 gal tanks, lol)

so tankmates are not an option with this species?

Unless you have a 400+ gallon tank do not count on tankmates to be a longterm plan. Even then it could be questionable. A female is usually the tankmate of choice for Dovii.. This one has killed 4 females though :(
