it only has 3 ghost shrimp in it right now. i havent decided if i wanna stick to ghost shrimp or get some red cherry shrimp.

im thinking of getting some bamboo. definently getting more black gravel. i actually have some in a 10 gallon that barely has any water in it and hasnt been in use in a while but i dont know if i wanna use that since my bro couldve played cars in it and everything.

How long has it been set up? And did you get your gravel from an established tank?

I tried breeding ghost shrimp in a 2.5g, I failed at it, cherry shrimp on the other hand bred very easily for me.

yea i dont think i can breed the ghost shrimp i just like them for some reason. how many max shrimp could i keep in here(ghost shrimp and red cherry shrimp)

If you want to add a bamboo shrimp, you will need to add more water flow, somehow. Filter feeders prefer to live in environments with a strong current.

oh and i tried to paint a background and ended up getting paint in the water so now theyre in a different container i can barely see through :( hopefully ill get them in a 10 gallon soon.

Hey few things... ghost shrimp I beleive require more brackish conditions to actually breed though they do tolerate freshwater fine. Second is with cherries, I have read that ghost shrimp will sometimes kill the babies and eat them... I looked into keeping both in the same tank when I set up my breeder but after reading that I decided deff not worth the risk. Also in a tank that small any potential problems will likely arise due to lack of room. So my opinion is either go take the ghosts out and breed the cherries or make the water conditions more pristine for the ghosts to let them breed either or!
