My little tanks

Nice change up.....

Thanks. I built the tanks so slowly I did not realize how similar they turned out. I like the new looks.

What all crypts are you growing? It looks like you have a couple of interesting ones

I believe they were all sold to me as balansae, but I believe only the long thin ones are that. There is a smaller purplier one and a couple of new ones that could end up twisted a bit. That would be pretty cool.

The first pic is my favorite individual fish, the one eyed glass bloodfin tetra, eyeless side of course. The other eye is fine.

As long as these are buried, these guys do an awesome job. Roots cling to them. The big plus is the fact it's dirt cheap.

Nice looking tanks. What is your tap water like ph and hardness wise? I'm thinking of a tank of live plants but have difficult water.

PH 7.6
High PH 7.8

I don't mess with the water. Rarely bother with testing. You made me dust off the test kit.

I think they were all sold to me as balansae. My plant knowledge is severely deficient. Here is some more plant pics.

Fist 3 pics are of the same plant type in various stages of recovery. (I was really bad with live plants until Flourish Excel and jobes came into the picture) Those are Amazon swords, right?

The tiny one on the last pic is a jane doe crypt as far as I am concerned. It is doing a lot better than it was just a few weeks ago. I don't mind them taking their time recovering. The resulting green contrast is pretty nice to look at.

pic one and two I believe are the same but they are not the same as pic three. None of them are amazon swords. Pic one may be nuphar japonica but the more I look, I think they are all crypts of some sort. I'd be very interested to hear if anyone knows what pic three is?

Just want to say (and sorry for delayed reply/necroing post) these tanks are awesome :D

Thanks.

After a check at my store's inventory, I think the plants in the first 3 pics of post 17 are some kind of echinodorus.
