Hello, I have a nice and lively male Dwarf Gourami that I would like to trade locally for 3-4 Amano shrimp. If you have another type of shrimp you could trade, make me an offer. I don't want any CRS or other red-colored shrimp. Amano would be best, but would consider any other colored/banded trade.

My Gourami is not overly aggressive, but he is dominant and likes to chase other fish occassionally (mostly at feeding time or when I first come into the room). He hasn't done any damage to my three guppies' fins in the four months he has lived in the tank. But I've got young fry to think about, and I would like the tank to be a tad more mellow.

He is very pretty. I am long on the road to recovery from a recent algae bloom, but the flash on the camera really amplifies the remaining particles in the water. The water is NOT that green, my parameters are normal. In any event, you'd be free to check out the tank and the fish before trading. I will admit the glass needs a shining on that side of the tank, which I have done since taking this pic. But now fishy is being camera shy.
He's got a heck of a lot of character and is more of a casual chaser than a fin-nipper.

hey, i don't know about you, but if you want to think about this money wise.
your trip to sj or sf from palo alto will cost roughly 2 gallons of gas round trip which is something along the range of $6-7. That is about the price of 3-4 amano shrimp give or take and you can keep your gourami! The trip will also be shorter.

Yeah, but that's not really in the spirit of the game is it?

i'll need the tankspace for the fry as they grow into adults. hopefully somebody in SF or San Jose would meet me halfway.

Amanos don't breed in FW, FYI. If you decide to buy them, Albany Aquarium sells them, 12 for $24(more expensive at lower quantities) and AF always has them.

:)
I'm not trying to breed the shrimp, but the livebearer fry I have swimming around will have a better and more peaceful time in many ways if the Gourami goes. I have another Dwarf Gourami and he's always been the mellowest fish, so I want him to be head honcho again. the new sheriff pushes the townsfolk around too much.

I can't figure out how to edit, but this is for pickup or local meeting. will travel as far as SF or SJ. I am in Palo Alto.

Just send me a PM next time whenever you'd like something changed or updated.

:)
