No, seriously! I squeezed it out a bit ago to get the dirt out, and to help maintain its shape (I read to do that several places) and now it's "swimming" around my aquarium! It's full of tiny little bubbles, so I'm thinking it's photosynthesizing and following both the light column and water flow. Am I way off in that?

Yes... they do that. If the oxygen production is high enough, they'll float. It's really cute.

When you squeezed out the muck, you probably let some air inside the sphere. It'll sink back down eventually.

Mine move from place to place though I have never seen them do it.

LOL.. running amok when you're not looking.

Party!!! Toga Toga!

This is the first time I've seen it do it!

I have SO got to get more of these!! They're so cool! My housemate already thought it was a Tribble! Now I'll never convince him otherwise!! :grinyes: I named mine "Cousin It" when I brought it home.

They do swim sometimes. Heck mine even had a baby! a perfect round little ball separated from the original right from the center. Now I have a 3/4" marimo and a 1 1/2" donut. But the larger one is growing it's insides back. I have no idea why it did it.
