I am trying to figure it out by process of elimination, it is NOT Indian. LOL

If its not indian, its probably an Atlantic, and that was my guess anyway based on your pictures..although without a shot of the erect dorsal fin its hard to tell. I'll post some pics of the Atlantic I had when I get home tonight, but in the meanwhile you can look up pictures of Periophthalmus barbarus, aka Atlantic aka African mudskippers and see if that looks like the one.

He does not have any of the shiney blue spots at all.
