My New 300 gallon

Dkarc

Orlando Discus
Thought I would post pics of my new 300 gallon tank currently in the process of cycling. Should be ready for fish in a month or so. Stand, cabinetry, sump, etc was built by myself and my Dad. Only thing we didnt build was the tank itself. Instead of trying to basically do a dead lift on a tank this size with 3 men, we got smart and used a heavy duty engine lift with a spreader bar. Went up nice and easy. The tank is from Glass Cages and has built in overflows. It will be primarily stocked with discus and a few other smaller fish (tetras, loaches, etc). The last few pics are without the finished doors attached. I will try to get some newer pics showing the finished cabinetry sometime soon.

Hi, I think you have a very nice aquarium. I was wondering, if my eyes are correct, Now I don't know the answer, But if that is an entertainment unit on both sides of the tank, would the sound some how effect the fish?

Those are basic cabinets that are used to house all the electronics and whatnot. Just makes the entire presentation of the tank nicer looking IMO.
