Hello. Here is the result of 2 days planting. I bought all the plants from classified section and I'm very happy with quality and the price. Thanks to all
.
That looks great. It definitely has that "just planted" look, but it will have a more natural feel after a little while when the plants have settled in and started to grow.
How so? I have livebearers mixed with other fish in many of my tanks.
That said, I would be cautious what barbs I am mixing with the livebearers. Some can be quite nasty. May I suggest a school of 7-9 Cherry barbs? They generally make good community fish. You definitely need more than 2-3.
That tank is absolutely gorgeous. Excellent job, I can't wait to see it once the plants settle in!
It really isn't necessary to have CO2, I have 20 some planted tanks and have not yet taken the plunge. Some people claim that Flourish Excel can help to control algae, so that might be a suggestion. Also, I really don't have any issues with algae, except in the tanks I grow it on purpose . You just have to have plants that use up the excess nutrients in the tank.
Thanks a lot for all comments and suggestions. I’ll go with 15 Cardinal Tetras first .After that I really don’t know. I’d like to have some black lyre mollies and Red Hi-Fin or Lyre tailed swordtail. What about some chery shrimps can they live in this environment or they need some specific water conditions?
