I am just posting a 5.5 gallon salt tank I am made to have fun with and probably keep a few peppermint shrimp in for display. All wood enclosure, painted with Krylon fusion inside/back of glass and Valspar stone finish paint exterior. 2 AC20's filled with live rock rubble for filtraion/circulation.

that is just the cutest little tank! and i love the way you did the lid/canopy.

I would have loved to see the step-by-step for that enclosure. Its beautiful, and the build would give me an excuse to set up a new 5.5.

How is the noise level of the AC20's when they are enclosed like that? The one I have in my "extra fish stuff" box tended to make a rattle noise if the plastic top wasn't sitting on it just right.

Thanks everyone! The filters are really quiet, I have never had an issue with any AC filter being noisy, but I have seen some people put a piece of scotch tape on the sides of the lid to keep them from rattling. Also all the components were from my spare parts bin. Both filters came off of old QT tanks.
