my new addition jelly bean convicts

i have posted some pics of the small one and big one .my water has gone cloudy but just put some treatment in so should clear soon

some dyed ones I saw in Cape Town... Surprisingly enough, I couldn't find many fish stores there... and none of them seemed to have a good selection of cichlids which I thought was odd considering the proximity. IMG_6972.JPG

The jelly bean convicts the OP has sound like convict x parrot cichlids, which are (obviously) hybrids but not necessarily dyed. Confusion sets in because some blood parrots (also hybrids) are dyed and called "Bubblegum" or "Jelly bean" fish, but they're distinctly different fish. Regardless, both of our posts are off-topic and are not helping the OP.

o my so i may have eggs how will i know what do i look for

I have never had convicts before but I do know that will breed like crazy for you! I would assume that in a day or so you will find a little patch of eggs attached to decor or a rock. They should be able to handle everything on their own altho the first spawn may not work out. Sometimes it takes the parents a few tries to get it right. Just keep your water clean and they will be happy.

Also, chemicals to clear your water are not good for the fish. It is best to figure out why your water got cloudy (bacteria bloom?) and fix the problem with water changes, etc. Can you test your params?

yes i will do that ive not had time to cycle the tank which i know is bad but they were going for my guppys and the babys in my partners tank ill do 20% water changes and do params tonight and post .when i got then the guy said she spawned sucsessfully and had fry in 2-3 days so could it be happening again ?

Sounds like you will need to watch your params closely and do water changes daily to keep the ammonia at a minimum...........Someonme else would be better to guide you thru that problem.....
They will breed again and again and again and again! (you get the idea)
I edited my last post and added a second link - it has more info on their behavior and aggression levels that may be helpful.
