Deb- the apistos would be TOTALLY GREAT with the discus! I can always make it to Parsippany if you change your mind...
The females rarely get over 1.5" and the males get twice that big.

The patterns on the fins always remind me of flames painted on a hot rod.

Pretty apistos! I have those too. I like the female's spunkiness, small but doesn't take any guff.

Yes the males get much bigger then the females and have more color.
There is no problem with just keeping the males in the tank, if you want.
