!!my new coral!!

I have just bought my first bits of coral after waiting 2 months of cycling i have 3 lights and parameters were fine after the first week. I will post a few
pictures later of the coral when it pokes back out. thanks.

I'm just curious.. What coral did you get?

Good luck! See how it reacts and wait at least few weeks, if not more, before adding another.

Thanks for the post dustin. Here are some pictures of my corals i have 2 all together and see the single coral look behind it and you can see red. Thats base rock dead coral thanks. Tell me about my coral please?

the first coral looks like frogspawn(not recommended for beginners or as a starter coral). and im not sure on the second but both look like hard corals and they shouldnt be introduced until the tank has been up at least 6 months. do you add calcium what are all your levels?

the other may be an elegance coral tell me are the "branches" hard like rock and does the fleshy part stick to skin?

I dont have calsium test but my parameters are perfect and still there:
Amonnia is 0
Nitrite is 0
Nitrate is 5.0
phosphate is 0.5
p.h is 8.4
and salinity is 1.023

what about the other questions like about the corals? and you really should...actually you have to test for calcium if you are going to keep hard corals like the ones you got. now you dont need some $200 digital tester just a $20 liquid test kit for it.

Thank you soooooo much for your help i will get the calsium test. But im not sure if there those corals you mensioned and there very soft and hardy corals the aquarium guy said. thanks.

frogspaw is pretty tough but if the other is a young elegance like i think (still not sure) they arnt so hardy best of luck though kido keep me posted dont be afraid to pm me!:dance2:
