My new Cutteri

Very nice! You don't see these guys too often.

I've only had these for a few days, and I already love them. Intelligent, beautiful and the color morphing is amazing. I can't wait to see the full breeding mode.. If I can help it, you WILL see them more often lol

^ I look forward to more pics then! :D

Well, I have no new pics to post (yet) but I do have a report.. I came home to find the female missing. I looked, and I looked, and I looked, but couldn't find her. My daughter, who was getting worried about "wife", asked me where the new one came from. New one? What new one? So she pointed out what I'd been overlooking. 1 female Cutteri, in full breeding stripes hiding in the big driftwood cave I built up for her to escape into. The male can get in, but he can't go in as fast as she can, so it's a good escape pod for her.. Anywho, looks like mom and pop are about to get up to their old ways again. The male has been bringing mouthfulls of gravel out of the cave. Color me excited..

Oh and I'm amazed at the color morph this fish has gone through. Can't wait to get a photo to share. NOTHING is being allowed near the cave, including loaches, catfish, the juvenile cutters, and the algae magnet..

Ya know that part where I said "about" to get up to their old way again? Scratch that.. They've already laid eggs..

JOY!

Just hope my snails don't munch em..

No one seems to care about the eggs, but I have wigglers today.. Looks to be about 100 of them..

Cool! Post some pics! How are the parents with tending to the fry? I hope they don't decide to eat them!

Pics will come when the move them somewhere I can get the camera to focus on.. They're in a horrible spot and they've got the tank all junked up from their digging.. Mom and dad seem to be doing well. Dad is out trying to kill everything he can find, and mom is guarding the babies. I saw that they'd moved them about a foot this morning.
