My new DIY Co2....

So far the water level seems fine. I think I will just leave it the way I have it for now and deal with the noise until I can get a decent diffuser. You know how it goes...."if it ain't broke, don't fix it".

Yeah, I would keep the level a little bit lower. I had my level at about that height and ...well, you can guess what happened. :(

Anywho, when I did do DIY CO2, I used an internal filter to diffuse the CO2. I removed the filter pad and stuck the tube in there. The bubbles flowed directly into the impeller and got chopped up pretty well. I also put a tube on the filter outlet to direct the output down to further keep the CO2 in as long as possible.

Everything worked perfect for the few weeks I did CO2. Plants went crazy and all of that.

Just watch your water level, or make a secondary bottle just in case. My first bottle was perfect. My second one is the one that went wrong.

Andrew, if you don't mind my asking, what made you stop using Co2? Just curious. Also, did the bottle just explode or what? Again, just wondering what could happen so as to avoid it. Thanks.
