My new drift wood in my tank!!!

cool. well it looks really good. you could add some malaysian trumpet snails, they will keep it airated and clean it pretty good for you. then you'll just have to suck up the debris that sits on top of it.

Ive heard that bala sharks like to eat snails and the few mystery snails i have had in the past seem to end up mysteriously dead, just a hollow shell. Would the trumpet snails be ok?

You can usually pick them up(trumpet snails) really cheap or even free from a LFS. I snagged my original snails for free from the LFS.... It really wouldn't matter if some get eaten or not, they breed like rabbits. Also, most will burrow into your sand by day so by time the sharks are sleeping they will begin to come up to the surface.

Nice DW, btw

Thanks! cool ill have to ask at the LFS. Im planning on putting some of the other tons of driftwood i have laying around in my other tanks as soon as the dang stuff sinks!:shakehead:

man i love the wood and the tank. great aquascaping there cuz it looks really nice. what fish are you putting in?

awesome wood.

yup. trumpet snails should be okay. they stay small and are usually hiding in the sand. normally i see one or two of mine at a time but i know there's a lot more of them in there than that. most fish won't eat them because they are harder to get out of their shells than most snails.

Thanks alot. I already have my fish in there mostly mollies and tetras and dainos. although i do have a few sharks an albino rainbow, rainbow, and a silver tipped. and of course my corries:) Im planning on selling them in the next week minus a few fishes cause were moving cross country.

Nice driftwood, where did you get it from, cant find pieces that large around here.

Took a trip down to the river after the hurricane blew through and found a ton of nice huge wood.
