I paid $40 for it. I got it at thatpetplace.com. But then you have another $30 for shipping. So total was $70.

My LFS gets the EBJD's in like maybe twice a year if that and they sell them for around $60 each.

I think $100 for 2 is a pretty good price.

I paid $20 bucks for my little EBJD, my favorite fish! When I get a new 55G I will hopefully purchase another.

BTW all EBJDs are male. I dont believe EBJDs are compatable with regular JDs, EBs tend to get bullied and can die of stress. So fair warning.

So far so go good with the fighting. They hang out together all the time. Maybe they are not fighting because they are both the same size. If they start fighting i have another tank and i will just seperate them.

Although there does seem to be a lot more males than females, there have been a couple people that have been able to show pics of female EBJD's.

If you re going to mix a regular JD with an EBJD, your best combo is Male EBJD and Female JD. And, try to make sure the EBJD is larger than the regular JD.

Thats what i am hoping that mine are. I cant really tell yet though cause i think they are a little too young.

If anyone can tell this early on please let me know.

Here are updated pictures. They are growing fast.

Is it still too early to tell if they are male or female?

These pics are just after they ate so their bellys are huge.

Heres another update. I have had them now for about 3 months. So far so good. No problems at all. (crossing my fingers) They are eating very well and are very active.
