This is my first Cichlid Tank. I have 6 juvi Lion's cove.

I love just wtching these guy swim around the tank. they are very active. It makes it tough to get a phot of them.

yeah i thought it looked like a western mosquito fish (with the blue sheen and all) that was close to the camera and the cichlid was way in the back. but then i thought it might be some kind of malawian bcuz of the blue sheen. Idk.

The other fish are Llyodons sp? They are not cichlid's. The breeder I bought the cove's fromsuggested them as a tank mates. I guess these fish instinctively protect fry....any fry.

really??? so they defend the fry of other fish also. thats cool. are they aggressive about it?

My breeder was telling me they can get very aggressive protecting fry. I haven't seen it for myself yet.

The tank is very active and fun to watch.
