My new pleco!

Thanks everybody! So far seems to be doing good. had her maybe 5 weeks... looks like a little marble with fins atm lol been trying to get another newer picture but she's not the easiest to snap pics of

Looks like a young one, I'm guessing around 2"? Hypancistrus are some of the most beautiful pleco's around. It's just a shame they're seldom visible and take forever to grow.

She's a bit over a year old and just around 1.5" right now, I've been looking for a queen for 3+ years and feel super fortunate to have gotten her for $80. They're a banned fish from export and I've heard they were recently put on CITES, not sure if that last is true or not...
 
If you're certain yours is a female you stand a fair chance of finding a male somewhere along the line. Folks are more often willing to part with a male than a female. I have a group of 6 L-333's that I've been growing out for almost 2 years now. Hopefully they'll be spawning soon, the last time I got a good look a couple were rather plump.
