I never did low light so here is my new low tech tank. 30 gal , 48 watts t-5- 10,ooo k , marineland c-220 . I think its going to be mostly anubius and java fern but as you know me , things could change :) Got more plants coming next week (customdrum).

I think you need to trim that plant back...can barely see the fishies....

What substrate is it?
I bought some sand like that some time ago and it was like powder. So I threw it out because it killed my HOB filters.
 
Rb, I was thinking about you when I planted that thing. I didn't realize it needed trimming already but by your standards I know it is over planted already :)

The sand is plane old playsand from Lowes.

Thank gang , and yea , I just got the filter , my first c series and I really like the way it's put together , easy to use and work on so far. And quiet as all get out :) I had a magnum 350 in there also but all mine are getting real loud so I yanked it . I really don't need it on this tank anyway but you know me , I love to power filter .
