I'm pleased to show off our newest members of the family, a pair of captive bred seahorses! After months of preparation and waiting patiently for our ponies, yesterday we were able to finally purchase them. Its been my goal as a fishkeeper to work my way up to keeping seahorses, and with any luck I will be able to successfully raise these two little beauties.
We got them two days ago and they were eating pretty much right away (so far PE mysis and brine).
I believe they are H. reidi, I'm not 100% positive though.
Tank stats:
-20 Gallon "tall" tank
-150 watt Ebo Jager
-Eheim 2213 Classic Canister filter
-15w Flourescent tube lighting (considering changing)
-approx. 10 lbs Liverock
-Caulerpa prolifera, green grape caulerpa, razor caulerpa, and halimeda
-Sea fans
-Yellow gorgonian
-I'll be constructing an aqua-clear fuge in the near future for cheato and pods.
Without further ado, some pictures!
