can you tell me what's going on with your 2 litre set up? I assume it's co2, but the color and density look nothing like mine...

Sorry no full tank shots of it yet.. im going to wait until i get the plant shipment in and plant it up and show you guys

well for starters, it looks the color of orange soda, where mine and the ones I've seen look like soy milk.
in the horizontal photo, it looks like it has filter media or something in the bottom, thick and chunky... I've never seen that.
you just gave me an idea... you could start a diy co2 with 2/3 of a bottle of sunkist, the yeast, and a little fresh water... no?

its actually a jello co2 system. http://www.plantedtank.net/forums/diy/9916-jello-co2-thread.html but i tweeked my with just random measuring and loading.. but i personally belive adding more sugar to the jello will give you a bit more co2.. and its been bubbling for a good 2 months with a bit if slowing down... the jello is now about 1/4 in the bottle
you can actually pour out the old yeast if you refridgerate the bottle to stiffn the jello and then pouring out the old yeast

cool. I've been having a lot of frustration with my DIY co2, and may even switch over to a cheap store bought one... but maybe I'll give jello a shot.
