My New Tanks

Your rock set up looks cool. In fact in my opnion your rock set up is awsome. As for advice...........Im new to. I have no advice.

If you are still considering a wrasse for your new setup how about a lepoard wrasse. I saw one last week and it is absolutely beautiful. Of course I cannot have this fish because I already have a six line wrasse and they will just fight if I were to put them togather. They are reef safe but there is some question as to weather or not they are invert safe. I think they like to eat the larger snails if I am not mistaken.

By the way people...Can you just glance over my latest water test results and let me know what you think...Tank been running for 12 days now..

PH - 8.4
Ammonia - 0.3
NitITE = 0.0
NitRATE - 0.0

I think the ammonia level is because of the prawn carcass i left in there for cycling the tank...

How do they look..??

Good! did you per chance use curred live rock? If you did you may never have very high readings. I'd say when ammonia hits 0 give it a day or two test and see if you have nitrites if not start stocking slowly. The bacteria in your tank is converting waste materials into atmospheric nitrogen.

Hiya Max,

Yes, i used 20Kg of cured live rock and about 10Kg's of live sand from an established aquarium...suppose that has made it easier for me..

Will keep a close eye on test results..Not putting anything in till next month though, so it has plenty of time...
