Hi. Today I went into a LFS and saw something I haven't before. In the tank with the weather loaches there were 2 that are so dark... from a distance they looked black. I bought one, he is a bit skinny, but is active and swimming happily about. He is about 7 inches long! I did a bit of looking online, trying to find out what kind he might be, but no luck yet. I just love weather loaches and wanted to share my find. Sheila

do you have any pictures?

Oh, how cool. Post some pics! I love weather loaches.

post any pics if you have them

He is a weather loach... is exactly the same as my others... except skinnier and darker.... when my hubby gets home I can bug him about trying to take a picture... i am digitally challanged. Thanks

One of my weather loaches I bought awhile ago from petsmart was around 5 inches long and looks similar as one of those cuban cigars sizes.

I wanted to get some Weather Loaches for my outdoor goldfish barrel. The temperature high would probably be 80 during the hottest summer day and 45 on the coldest winter day. Would that work for these guys?
