My Newest Additions Freshwater Hermits

Cool crabs. I always thought these were brackish though.

You know what's weird, when I saw the shells, I somehow managed to completely ignore the bodies and thought "Cool! Someone got African snails in!".

Wow...I never knew that there were freshwater hermit crabs. I used to collect the ones in Coney Island and put them in my 50 gal saltwater,.......many...many years ago.

These guys arent entirely freshwater. They are a brackish species which will tolerate freshwater conditions based on their native area.

Awesome little hermits!

247, I may have some shells that would work for them. I used to have over 30 land hermit crabs of all sizes and I hoarded shells. Let me dig through my things and see what I have. I know I had some smaller, long thin spirals like that for the smaller EE's.
