If you need/want dead leaves like those on the Pak 40 base, find some birch trees and gather some of the seed clusters (catkins). Seperate the seeds from the leaf thingies and discard them. The bigger the tree the bigger the "leaves" you get. The smaller ones came from a 4-5" trunked tree, the larger ones came from a 14 -15" trunked tree. (1/35 figure for scale)

bret i personally like world war 2 era... if i may could i put you up to a challenge? i would like to see a german pillbox with a tiger posistion...... im sorry to sound so demanding just an idea to try to make from scratch

Besides the birch seeds, you can use tree roots as trees, very small gravel can be found on the road side. Twigs can be used to make log fortifications.
I assume you want this for wargaming?
