Hi all, The plating pink in the first and second pictures. I, at first thought was coraline algea but as it is growing at quite a rate i'm now thinking Montipora. Could i be right??
Also in the third picture the darker patches are slower growing and seem to lift at the edges making me think its 'alive' could this be a form of bryozoans?
A positive ID would be great thanks for looking

i dont think thats a monti, but i think im jealous of your coraline growth rate. thats incredible.

i say no on montie, because they're no polyps. if it were yer xenia and shrooms would be gettin beat up.

just based on my experience, and nothing else, id say a different color, of coraline

oo ooo, i know a way you can check for shure. touch it! it it crumbles and braks its coraline, a coral would have a strong bone structure!

ohh thats cyano*(sp) bacteria.

thats baaad mmmmkay! scrape it off or somethin.

ive never had it, so other peoples, whadda ya do for cyano?
