Quick update,

You may remember the first time i resealed the tank, i used the wrong silicone, and so ive had to re do it, just today i finished taking all the wrong silicone off. Taking off new silicone is much more difficult than taking off old silicone. It was much harder, getting the final residue off really took a lot of effort. Acetone and a sharp razor blade really are essential. I would have re-re-sealed it today with the correct silicone, but i dropped and broke the center brace and am waiting on the glass shop to cut me a new piece. Dropping the center brace isnt the end of the world, it was only 1/4" thick, and was siliconed to the plastic trim and not the glass of the tank, which isnt the proper way to do it. There is broken bits of glass under the trim that looks like the original cross brace was broken for whatever reason by a previous owner. The center brace i dropped and broke was too thin and not wide enough ( by just a millimeter ) to be a proper center brace. So have a new one made is the right way to fix it. As soon as the glass is cut, ill re silicone it and let it dry for a few days, closer to a week, water test it for a few days and it will be ready to get put up on the stand! Im hoping to have it filled and cycling in the first week of March.
